U15 Women's Team Identification Camps

Softball Canada is excited to announce the upcoming U15 Women's Identification Camps in preparation for a planned WBSC Americas U15 Pan American Championship, which is anticipated to serve as a qualifying event for the 2027 WBSC U15 Women's Softball World Cup.

The exact dates and location of the U15 Pan American Championship have not yet been confirmed. Softball Canada anticipates that the qualifier will take place in the first quarter of 2027. Based on this anticipated timeline, identification camps will be held over the coming months.

Eligibility

Athletes born in 2012, 2013, & 2014 are eligible to attend the U15 Women's Identification Camps.

IMPORTANT – CANADIAN PASSPORT REQUIREMENT

Athletes selected to represent Canada at the international qualifier must hold a valid Canadian passport. Athletes and their families are responsible for ensuring that passport and travel requirements are met should the athlete be selected to the team.

Identification Camps – Preliminary Schedule

British Columbia – Langley

  • September 12 & 13, 2026
  • Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day
  • Registration closes September 4th at 4pm EST.

Alberta – Edmonton Area

  • September 26 & 27, 2026
  • Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day
  • Registration closes September 18th at 4pm EST.
  • Location to be confirmed.

Ontario – GTA Area

  • October 3 & 4, 2026
  • Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day
  • Registration closes September 25thth at 4pm EST.
  • Location to be confirmed.

Softball Canada will confirm the Alberta and Ontario locations as soon as possible. We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we finalize these details.

Identification & Selection Process

Athletes will be evaluated throughout the identification camp process based on a variety of factors, including:

  • Overall softball skills and performance
  • Position-specific skills and requirements
  • Athleticism and physical abilities
  • Game performance and decision-making
  • Positional needs of the team
  • Present and projected development
  • Other factors deemed appropriate by Softball Canada coaching and program staff

Camp Format

Identification camps will include a combination of:

  • Individual skills and evaluation
  • Position-specific instruction and assessment
  • Team skills and drills
  • Game/scrimmage situations
  • Additional evaluations as determined by the coaching and program staff

Specific camp schedules and details will be provided to registered athletes closer to each camp date.

Registration Information

  • Registration Fee: $200
  • Athletes must register for one identification camp in order to be selected to the team.
  • Travel, accommodation and meals for camp are the responsibility of the athlete/family.
  • All camps are subject to postponement or cancellation at Softball Canada's discretion.
  • Staff will not be accepting payments at the field. Payment must be completed through the online registration process using Visa or Mastercard only. Visa Debit will not be accepted.
  • Refunds will be provided until registration closes, listed above or otherwise indicated on social media. All refunds are subject to a $50 administration fee. Refund requests received after the registration deadline will not be eligible for a refund, except in extraordinary circumstances and with appropriate medical documentation.
  • Registered athletes will receive an email with additional camp information, including the confirmed field location, schedule and what to bring, closer to the camp date.

What to Bring

Athletes should arrive prepared for a full day of softball evaluation and bring:

  • Complete softball equipment
  • Water/hydration
  • Snacks and/or meals
  • Any required personal medications
  • Any other equipment identified by Softball Canada prior to the camp

Athletes should also ensure that Softball Canada has accurate emergency contact and medical information as part of the registration process.

Safe Sport & Athlete Expectations

All athletes, coaches and staff participating in Softball Canada programming are expected to comply with applicable Softball Canada policies, codes of conduct and Safe Sport requirements.

Athletes are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values and standards of Softball Canada throughout the identification process.
