
MEN'S NATIONAL TEAMS - CALL FOR POOL COACHES
An exciting opportunity exists to join Softball Canada in the role of Pool Coach with the Men’s and U23 Men’s National Team Programs. The Pool Coaches will work within the Men’s, U23 and U18 Men’s National Team program Head Coaches and the Manager - Operations in the pursuit of podium results at WBSC events in the next international cycle. Opportunities may include participation in training camps, selection camps and major events.
To be considered for the position, candidates should possess:
- International/National/Elite softball playing or coaching experience;
- Advanced technical knowledge in the areas of Hitting, Pitching, Infield and/or Outfield play;
- Proficiency in the use of video analysis software applications would be an asset;
- Strong Communication Skills;
- The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment;
- Available to travel for extended periods of time domestically and abroad;
- Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s licence and passport.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
Coaches must be at the Competition – Development Certified level in Softball Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) or have the equivalent level of experience and/or are working towards obtaining their Certified status. Selected coaches will also be required to complete the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) and Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP) education offered by Sport Integrity Canada on an annual basis.

Please indicate if you would like to be considered for the Men’s or U23 Pool Coach positions, or a combination of both. Pool coach positions are honoraria based and dependant on which events the coaches attend.
