Ottawa, Ont. - Softball Canada is pleased to announce that twenty-nine umpires from across the country will be inducted into the 2019 class of the Canadian Indicator Club.
The Canadian Indicator Club recognizes program leaders for their work both on and off the field. Individuals are nominated by provincial/territorial umpire associations and are inducted based on their exceptional efforts to support their colleagues and the program at the local and regional level.

“We are so appreciative of this group – they represent the nails and glue of our program on a daily basis” notes National Director of Umpires Jeff Whipple. “We lean on them to provide the leadership and support for their fellow umpires at the local and regional level and they don’t get near the recognition they deserve.”
The Canadian Indicator Club awards are handed out every three years in conjunction with Blue Convention, the flagship educational program of Softball Canada’s national umpire program. This year’s event will be held in Montreal with the Indicator Club Banquet highlighting the closing event of Blue Convention on April 20th.
