Surrey, BC – The official pool draw for the 2019 Softball, Americas – Qualification Event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020 has taken place – and the stage is now set for 12-countries to compete for two berths, including the number-one ranked squad from Canada.
The pool draw from Lausanne, Switzerland was live-streamed at a viewing-event at Softball City that included Team Canada players, supporters and officials. The format will see the following two divisions with six teams in each, playing a round robin format followed by a super round:

Canada and the City of Surrey will play host to the Qualifying event, August 25th to September 1, 2019 at Softball City in Surrey, where the National Team will open up the tournament on Sunday, August, August 25 at 6:00pm PDT.
“This is an exciting time for those of us who are going to be part of the team representing Canada,” says Victoria native Emma Entzminger. “This is what we all dream about and the fact that we are going to be able to pursue an Olympic berth on home turf in front of fans from Canada and BC makes it even more special.
Ticket packages for the Americas Softball Qualifier and its 42-game schedule start at $75 for youth, $130 for seniors and $180 for adults. VIP and Reserved Tournament Passes are also available.
