Softball Canada mourns the loss of Bob Van Impe - an iconic member of the Canadian softball community - on November 16th, 2018.
Van Impe was a steady presence in the softball community in his hometown of Sasksatoon, where their softball stadium is named after him. He was elected as a Commissioner of Softball Canada in 1967 and became President in 1969, holding that position until 1986. He was inducted to the WBSC Softball Hall of Fame as an Administrator in 1987 and as a Builder in the Softball Canada Hall of Fame in 1990.
