Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada and the U23 Men’s National Team coaching staff are pleased to announce the sixteen (16) athletes who have been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2026 WBSC U23 Men’s Softball World Cup. The tournament will be played April 24 to May 3, in Sincelejo, Colombia.

Softball Canada previously announced eight (8) core players to the U23 Men’s National Team in November and has added eight (8) athletes from the athlete pool to complete the roster. The athletes joining Team Canada are Brad Barker (Goodwood, Ont.), Riley Good (Wingham, Ont.), Adrian Green (Carbonear, N.L.), Nic McGrayne (Demorestville, Ont.), Will Schlotzhauer (Tavistock, Ont.), Dale Schweyer (Fisherville, Ont.), Danny Scott (Stratford, Ont.) and Aidan Yarde (Owen Sound, Ont.).

“We’re excited about the players who have been selected to represent Team Canada at the WBSC U23 Men’s World Cup” stated Canadian U23 Men’s National Team Head Coach Doug Allin. “These athletes have had a tremendous amount of success at the national level and most have previous international experience at the U18 and U23 levels that will be extremely helpful in our chase for a World Cup gold medal.”

The Canadian World Cup roster features nine (9) returning players from the 2025 WBSC Americas Pan American Championship in La Pampa, Argentina, where Canada was awarded the silver medal and qualified for the WBSC World Cup.
