Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada and the U18 Men’s National Team coaching staff are pleased to announce the sixteen (16) athletes who have been selected to represent Canada at the 2027 WBSC U18 Men’s Softball World Cup. The tournament will take place June 18-26, 2027, in Havlíčkův Brod and Ledenice, Czechia.

“Congratulations to the athletes who have been selected to represent Team Canada at the upcoming U18 Men’s World Cup in Czechia” stated Gilles LeBlanc, Manager of Operations at Softball Canada. “The quality and depth of the talent pool in this age category is as high as we have seen in a long time, and our coaching staff is very excited to work with these athletes to develop their game further and be ready to compete for a World title.”

A selection camp was held in Napanee, Ont. last month following the U17 Men’s Canadian Championship held in Surrey, B.C. and the coaching staff has been scouting and tracking athletes over the last two years in preparation for the World Cup.
Canada qualified for the 2027 World Cup with a bronze medal performance at the 2025 WBSC Americas Pan American Championship, which was held in Bahia Blanca, Argentina last October. The red and white also won the bronze medal at the previous WBSC U18 Men’s World Cup held in Hermosillo, Mexico in 2023.
