Team Canada rebounded with a 9-1 win over Colombia on the second day of competition at the 2026 WBSC Americas Pan American Softball Championship on Sunday. Canada’s offence exploded for nine runs on ten hits from seven different players, while the pitching tandem of Justin Schofield and Tyler Randerson held Colombia to four hits in the six inning un rule victory.
Key Moments:
Trailing 1-0 in the top of the third inning, Team Canada tied the game on run-scoring double by Dallas Kipfer and added three runs to its lead on a fielder’s choice with Kipfer beating the throw to the plate, an RBI single by Quinten Bruce and a wild pitch. After adding another tun on a double by Kipfer in the fourth, Denny Benson hit a two-run homerun to left field to put the game out of reach.
Notes:
- Dallas Kipfer went two-for-three with two doubles and two runs batted in for Canada.
- Quinten Bruce was a perfect three-for-three with three singles and drove in two runs of his own.
- Benson added a two-run homerun, with Jordan Pomeroy and Nick White each delivering a double. Connor Brooks and Max Major each singled.
- Justin Schofield got the start and only allowed one run on a solo homerun, striking out seven batters over three innings and a third.
- Tyler Randerson only gave up one hit in two innings and two thirds of relief, striking out six.
