Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada and the U18 Men’s National Team coaching staff are pleased to announce the sixteen (16) athletes who have been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 WBSC Americas U18 Men’s Softball Pan American Championship. The tournament is scheduled to be held October 5-11, 2025, in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.

The team was selected following a series of identification camps held across the country in May/June and scouting at the U17 and U20 Men’s Canadian Championships and the Canada Summer Games.

“We’re excited to announce this group of talented athletes who will have their first opportunity to wear the maple leaf and represent Canada on the international stage” said Gilles LeBlanc, Operations Manager at Softball Canada. “These players have worked very hard throughout the summer, and the coaching staff is eager to work with them in the pursuit of a Pan Am title and qualifying for the 2027 World Cup.”

In the previous cycle in 2023, Canada’s U18 Men’s National Team program won bronze at both the Pan American Championship in Colombia and the WBSC World Cup in Mexico.

The 2025 U18 WBSC Americas Pan American Championship features athletes born in 2007 or later. The event will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 WBSC U18 Men’s Softball World Cup, with the Top 4 finishers earning their ticket to the World Cup.
