Softball Canada will be hosting 3 identification camps as the next step in the selection process for the Canada Cup (July 10-16 in Surrey, B.C.), the WBSC World Cup Group Stage (July 22-26 in Italy), and the 2023 Pan American Games (October 30 to November 4 in Santiago, Chile). The camps are open to athletes born in 2004 or earlier (athletes born 2005 or later are invited to register for Junior ID Camps). Players who were born in 2005 or later who would like to try out of the Senior Women’s Team can contact Head Coach Kaleigh Rafter (krafter@softball.ca).

By no later than June 13, 2023, selected athletes will be invited to participate in the Final Selection Camp as the final step to this process. By no later than June 21, 2023, the final roster for the 2023 Pan Am Games team will be named. Players not selected to the Pan American Games team will remain under consideration for the WBSC World Cup Group Stage roster of 16 athletes to be named no later than July 30th, 2023. Any athletes in the pool are eligible to be named to the roster for any events in 2023.
The registration fee is $150 per player to attend an Identification Camp. A Rawlings National Team camp shirt will be provided.

Attendance to any ONE of the identification camps is strongly recommended in order to be considered. During the camp, athletes will participate in activities that involve both softball skill work and live game play.
A final selection camp will be held from June 14-18 in ON. Softball Canada will cover the cost of flights, meals, accommodations, and ground transportation during the final selection camp. The final Team Canada roster of 16 athletes will compete at the 2023 2023 WBSC Stage 1 World Cup Qualifier in Italy and the 2023 Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile.
All camps are subject to postponement or cancellation at Softball Canada’s discretion.
