Hermosillo, Mexico - The Canadian U18 Men’s National Team has arrived in Hermosillo, Mexico and is excited to compete in the WBSC U18 Men’s Softball World Cup from November 11-19. Canada will open the tournament against the Czech Republic Saturday, November 11 at noon local time (2:00pm EST).

Team Canada qualified for the World Cup with a bronze medal result at the WBSC Americas Pan American Championship held in Sincelejo, Colombia in September.

The World Cup will feature a total of 11 teams after Israel withdrew due to travel restrictions. The teams will be divided into two pools, with Australia, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Mexico and Singapore competing in Group A and Argentina, Japan, New Zealand, the United States and Venezuela playing in Group B.

After the preliminary round, the top three teams from each pool will advance to the Super Round and compete against the top three teams from the opposite pool. The top two teams after the Super Round will play in the gold medal game, and the next two will compete for bronze.
