TRANSPORTATION

Montreal has a great public transportation system. But in order to get to the Ile-Perrot Complex, you will need to drive.

If you are flying to Montreal, you can easily rent some vans at the airport. The Holiday Inn Pointe-Claire and the Holiday Inn Dorval are only 10 minutes away from the airport. A free shuttle can take you to the hotels and vice versa.

Should you need to rent vehicles, we got a great rate with Enterprise Rent a Car.

  • 7 passengers van for one week: $420.00 (+ taxes and insurance), 1800 km included, $0.20 per additional km
  • 7 passengers van for one day: $70.00 (+ taxes and insurance), 400 km included, $0.20 per additional km

For reservations, please click on the follwing link: www.enterprise.ca/en/reserve.html#book and then when asked to enter a corporate account number use the following code: 7CABALL

You can also call them directly at 1-800-736-8222 and use the booking code: 7CABALL

We recommend you do not wait at the last minute to reserve your vans since it’s a busy time of the year in Montreal and it all goes by availability.

Should you want to go downtown Montreal to sightsee, there are a few options.

First, you can drive, it’s about 15 minutes from all hotels except from the Holiday Inn Express in Vaudreuil where you need to plan 35 minutes. Parking downtown will cost you between $5 and $25 depending on the time and the place you will be going. What you need to know though is that Montreal is a big city so if you are not used to French road signs and traffic (and our driving habits...), we strongly recommand that you take the Metro (or busses). Montreal has a great and easy system, use it instead of trying to translate every road sign and get expensive tickets or pay for some parkings.

It costs $3.25 per ride, $6 for 2 rides on the same day. You can also buy a daily pass for $10 that will give you unlimited access for 24 hours (any busses or metro). A night pass is $5 after 6 pm. You can purchase tickets and passes in any metro station. There is a free parking at Namur Metro station that is 15 minutes from the Quality Suites and the Holiday Inn Pointe-Claire, and 25 minutes from the Holiday Inn Express in Vaudreuil.

The GPS address is 7340 Decarie blvd, Montreal (just behind the Wendys).
