2025 U18 MEN'S NATIONAL TEAM
IDENTIFICATION CAMPS

Softball Canada will host a series of Identification Camps across Canada this Spring/Summer. Athletes born between the years of 2007-2009 are invited to register to attend any of the Identification Camps listed below. The U18 Men’s National Team coaching staff will operate the identification camps with the help of local area Guest Coaches. Each player will be evaluated on fitness levels, speed, throwing, hitting, defensive play and general softball game play.
The registration fee is $150 per player to attend an Identification Camp. A Rawlings National Team camp t-shirt will be provided.
A minimum of 10 athletes is needed to operate each Identification Camp. The registration deadline will be 10 days prior to the start of each identification camp. If there are not enough registrants, a full refund will be offered, or players are welcome to transfer to another location.

SELECTION PROCESS & ELIGIBILITY
Following the Identification Camps, the coaching staff will be scouting the U17 and U20 Canadian Championships, the Canada Games and other major tournaments. Based on performance at the Identification Camps and those events, the coaching staff will select a roster of 16 athletes to compete in the 2025 WBSC Americas Pan American Championship, which is tentatively scheduled in Argentina in October. There will be an additional fee for athletes who are selected to the Pan American Championship team, with Softball Canada covering travel, meal and accommodation costs for the event.
To be eligible to be selected to the team, an athlete must be a Canadian Citizen holding a valid Canadian passport and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per Canadian, and countries that the team is travelling to, definitions) and therefore able to travel and train/compete with the team in events both in Canada and internationally. Accommodations will be considered based on applicable law/regulations and rationale.
The final roster will compete at the 2025 WBSC Americas U18 Men's Pan American Championship, tentatively scheduled in October in Argentina. The event will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 WBSC U18 Men's World Cup (date/location to be determined), which would be for athletes born in 2009-2011.
