Acknowledgments
A tremendous amount of time and energy was invested in creating the Timbits Softball Program. We gratefully acknowledge Softball Saskatchewan and Shirley Kowalski for their vision and foresight in the development of the original Learn to Play Program.
Since making the Timbits Softball Program a nationwide initiative in 2004, Softball Canada has seen tremendous benefits to the sport of softball across Canada. The Timbits Softball Program continues to be a innovative way of introducing the sport of softball to children in a fun and positive way. Since its beginning many volunteers and experts have had input in its creation and revisions. Their input was critical in ensuring the information contained within the manual was both relevant, fun and developmentally appropriate, allowing it to become a powerful resource for a child’s introduction to softball in Canada.
The successful development of this manual is the result of the many long hours our contributors have given of their time, expertise and knowledge. Without this valuable collaboration and teamwork, none of this would be possible. Softball Canada would like to thank all those involved for their insights, leadership and generosity in helping us build the very best program for children beginning their softball journey.
