President's Message
Softball Canada takes immense pride in the effort devoted to creating Softball Canada’s rule book, and we are confident that our Officials Development Committee, will continue to elevate our world-class standards in officiating.
Alongside the ODC, Softball Canada remains committed to upholding our core values, providing fair and inclusive opportunities for everyone, all while operating with the utmost integrity and respect.
The upcoming Softball seasons present numerous exciting opportunities to showcase all facets of our game. We will continue highlighting local talents in both Slo-Pitch and Fastpitch at our annual Canadian Championships.
On the global stage, we are thrilled about our opportunity to host both a Men’s Group Stage in 2024 and the Men’s World Cup in 2025 in Prince Albert, SK. Our Women’s program is marked by the Women’s World Cup in Italy this summer. The U18
Women’s having both a continental qualifier and a Group Stage in 2024 with hopes to qualify for the World Cup in 2025.
The momentum gained from these World events should propel us into the next 2028 Olympic cycle!
I would like to take this opportunity to express a heartfelt “thank you” to all the Provincial/Territorial Softball Staff, Coaches, Officials, and volunteers across Canada. Your dedication and commitment to improving our great game does not go unnoticed.
I am incredibly excited and optimistic that the next couple of years will continue to demonstrate why Canada is considered a world leader in Softball, both on and off the field.
I hope that Softball Canada’s rule book provides you with the information or learning you have set out to find!
Have a great season!
Yours in Softball,
Scott Neiles (He/Him, Il, Lui)
