A proud Newfoundlander now living in Oakville, Ont., Steve Mullaley played in the 2001 Canada Summer Games and won two Top Batter awards at the U21 Men's Canadian Championships before suiting up for Team Canada for the first time at the 2006 WBSC Americas Qualifier. A five-time Canadian Championship All-Star, Mullaley also won the 2012 Top Batter and Top Player of the Championship Round awards and two Most Valuable Player of the Qualifying Round awards in 2007 and 2011. In total, he is an eight-time Men's Canadian Championship Gold medallist, a three-time Silver medallist and won Bronze at the U21 Men's level in 2004.

Mullaley has become one of Canada's most feared hitters in the heart of the lineup and lived up to that with one of the most dominant performances in the Gold medal game of the 2015 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship when he hit three home runs and drove in seven runs to lead Canada to a 10-5 win over New Zealand. Overall, he has represented Canada at four WBSC Men's Softball World Championships, winning Bronze medals in 2009 and 2017 and Gold in 2015. He was also a member of the 2015 Pan American Games team that won Gold, and earned both a Silver medal (2006) and a Gold medal (2012) at the WBSC Americas Qualifier.

Steve plays hockey in the winter and in his spare time he likes to go camping, fishing, play guitar and relax with friends. He believes in a team-first culture with Team Canada and that has proven to be very successful over the last several years.
