Sean Cleary has been a workhorse pitcher for Team Canada since joining the team in 2013. In three WBSC World Championships, he has a 10-2 record with 108 strikeouts in 72 1/3 innings pitched and helped lead Canada to a Gold medal in 2015 and a Bronze in 2017. In addition, he went 4-0 with 40 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched to lead Canada to its seventh consecutive Gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games. He was even more impressive in the 2014 WBSC Americas Qualifier, going 3-0 with 65 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. 

Along with his success at the international level, Cleary has also been excellent at the Canadian championship level and particularly in pressure situations, earning a total of four Top Player of the Championship Round awards (U23 Men's in 2006; Men's in 2014, 2015 and 2016), three Top Pitcher awards (U23 Men's in 2006; Men's in 2011 and 2016) and one All-Star selection (2012). He was a member of the successful Kelly's Pub Canadians U23 program winning Gold in 2006 and won six Gold medals in a seven year span with Three Cheers Pub / Galway Hitmen.

Sean enjoys hockey and hunting in his spare time.
