Softball Canada Script + Emblem

An exciting opportunity exists to join Softball Canada in the role of Head Coach of the Men’s National Team Program. The Head Coach will work within the Men’s National Team program in pursuit of podium results. The upcoming cycle includes the 2027 Pan American Games (if Men’s Softball is included), the 2028 World Cup Group Stage and 2029 World Cup Finals (should Canada qualify). Please note that there will be a separate, later process for Men’s National Team Pool Coaches for the 2027-2029 cycle.

To be considered for the position, candidates should possess:

  • International/Elite softball playing and/or coaching experience;
  • Advanced technical knowledge in the areas of Hitting, Pitching, Catching, Infield and/or Outfield play;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • The ability to create and foster a harmonious team environment;
  • Availability to travel domestically and abroad;
  • Proficiency in the use of video analysis software applications (considered an asset);
  • A valid driver’s licence and passport (required);
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.

Coaches must be at the Competition – Development Certified level in Softball’s National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) or have the equivalent level of experience and/or are working towards obtaining their Certified status. Coaches must also complete the Sport Integrity Canada Safe Sport and Antidoping Training.
