Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada is pleased to announce the 19-athlete roster that will represent Canada at the 2026 USA Softball International Cup, taking place July 30 to August 3, 2026, at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The event will feature many of the world’s top-ranked softball nations, including No. 1 Japan, No. 2 United States, No. 4 Canada, No. 8 China, No. 11 Australia, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, American Samoa, and the U.S. Women’s Elite Team.
Team Canada enters the tournament with significant momentum following a pair of major international successes this summer. In June, Canada secured qualification for the 2027 WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals with an 8-7 extra-inning victory over Chinese Taipei in Prague, Czechia. The result capped a first-place finish at the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage and kept Canada on the pathway toward qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The Canadians continued their strong form earlier this month by capturing the 2026 Canada Cup Women’s International Softball Championship in Surrey, B.C. Team Canada completed a perfect 9-0 tournament record, defeating China 7-3 in the championship game to claim gold and outscoring opponents 90-12 throughout the event.
“Our athletes have demonstrated tremendous resilience and consistency throughout the summer,” said Head Coach Kaleigh Rafter. “The performances at both the World Cup Group Stage and Canada Cup showed the depth, talent and character of this group. The International Cup provides another outstanding opportunity to compete against the best teams in the world as we continue preparing for future World Cup and Olympic qualification opportunities.”
Canada is scheduled to open play on July 30 against China before facing the United States on July 31 and Australia on August 1 during round-robin competition. The tournament concludes with championship-round contests on August 2 and 3.
