Team Canada secured its second straight win at the U-15 WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Placement Round, defeating American Samoa 7–0 in six innings. A six-run third inning gave Canada full control, while pitchers Rachel Clegg and Kenzie Newman combined for the shutout, limiting American Samoa to just three hits.
Key Moment:
Canada broke the game wide open in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs. The rally began with five straight hits, including a two-run single by Rylee Kobasew and an RBI double from Amarah Hunter. Canada added an insurance run in the sixth on a single down the left field line by Robyn McIsaac, scoring Coco Chapman to end the game on the run rule.
