Team Canada bounced back in a big way on Day 2 of Super Round action at the XI Pan American Women’s Softball Championship, earning a pair of shutout wins. Canada opened the day with a 7–0 five-inning victory over El Salvador, followed by a 5–0 win over Puerto Rico.
Key Moments Game 1 vs. El Salvador:
Canada wasted no time setting the tone, with Erika Polidori launching a two-run homer in the first inning to bring home Emma Entzminger. The offence came alive again in the fourth with a four-run outburst, featuring timely hits from Grace Messmer, Logan Forman, Polidori, and a two-run double by Callum Pilgrim. In the circle, Annabel Teperson pitched a complete game, keeping El Salvador off the board with a five-hit shutout.

A pitching duel gave way to a breakthrough in the third inning as Canada strung together key at-bats. Emma Entzminger led off with a single, and with the bases loaded, Larissa Franklin delivered a clutch two-run single. Canada added two more runs on a sacrifice fly and throwing error. Jana Want capped off the scoring with an inside-the-park home run in the sixth.
Morgan Reimer earned the win with four strong innings, giving up just one hit and striking out six. Dawn Bodrug followed with a stellar relief appearance, closing out the game allowing just two hits and striking out six in three innings.
