2025 U23 Men's Pan American Championship - Game 4

La Pampa, Argentina - The Quick Story:   

Team Canada picked up its third straight win at the 2025 WBSC Americas U23 Men’s Pan American Championship, defeating Argentina 10-2 in front of their home fans. The Canadians showcased their offensive depth, pushing across 10 runs while scoring in six of the seven innings. With the victory, Canada improved their record to 3-1, now tied with Argentina, the United States, and Venezuela.

Key Moment:   

Nick White opened the scoring with a solo home run to left-center field in the top of the first inning. In the second, Alex McGillivray hit a single down the right-field line that drove in two runs, giving Canada a 3-0 lead. Argentina answered in the bottom half, cutting the deficit to 3-1, but Connor Brooks responded immediately with a two-run home run to make it 5-1. Canada kept the pressure on, adding a run in the fifth, two more in the sixth, and capped things off in the seventh when Mac Mulvey launched a two-run home run to secure the 10-2 win.

Notes:   

  • Connor Brooks led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an RBI double, and a single, while also scoring once.
  • Nick White went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a single, driving in one run and scoring another.
  • Mason McKay went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

  • Nic Neid took the start in the circle, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits and striking out 10.
