Wolf Returns to Lead NL Women’s Team at 2019 Canadian Championship

(St. John’s, NL) Softball NL is extremely pleased to announce that Andrea Wolf (Wapella, SK) has been named Head Coach of the 2019 NL Women’s Fastpitch Team. Newfoundland Labrador is set to host the 2019 Women’s Canadian Fastpitch Championship from August 14-18 in St. John’s.

This will be Wolf’s second season at the helm of the Softball NL Women’s Fastpitch Program. In 2018, she helped Impact Signs capture the Molson Softball NL Women’s Provincial Fastpitch Championship held in Corner Brook, guided the NL Three Cheers Pub Impact to a respectable 3rd Place finish at the Lloyd Poirier Memorial Fastpitch Tournament in Truro, NS and led the NL Three Cheers Pub Impact at the 2018 Women’s Canadian Fastpitch Championship in Saskatoon — the first time Newfoundland Labrador were represented at the Women’s Canadian Fastpitch Championship in 24-years.

Wolf’s boast and impressive softball coaching resume, which includes the following certifications: Community Softball Coach; Competition Introduction; Competition Development; MED Competition Introduction; Two Star Master Coach (National Fastpitch Coaches College); and, most recently, the Advanced Coaching Diploma.

Wolf’s overall resume speaks for itself and her experience as a player and coach is an asset to Softball NL in helping move the women’s game forward in the province. The fact that Wolf expressed an interest in returning as Head Coach of the NL Women’s Provincial (All-Star) Team is a testament to the athletes, the positive direction of the women’s game in Newfoundland and Labrador and overall a feather in the cap of Softball NL.

Softball NL is extremely pleased to have a coach of Wolf’s qualifications and experience returning to lead the 2019 NL Women’s Fastpitch Program.
