ADMINISTRATOR MENTORSHIP

The Softball Canada Mentorship Program is aimed at targeting potential/developing female executive members in Canada.  The program is based upon the matching of a female organizational member mentee with a female executive member mentor.  The program is structured to meet the needs of each individual selected to the program and to enable an experience that will benefit the mentee, the mentor, and Softball in Canada.

DURAION OF PROGRAM

18 months.  

GOALS

  1. To advance the careers and skill development of female organizational members by providing a mentoring program with experienced and seasoned executive members
  2. To provide the opportunity for senior members to volunteer and contribute their knowledge in a direct and highly rewarding way
  3. To identify future leaders/mentors
  4. To develop future female executive directors and increase the number of women holding high level positions within softball organizations

PROGRAM ELEMENTS

In addition to the guided 18 month long formal mentee/mentor partnership, mentors involved will:

  • Be provided free mentorship training
  • Networking opportunities with some of Softball Canada’s most valued female executives
  • Professional development opportunities
  • A unique opportunity to give back to Softball in Canada
  • Build leadership skills
  • An honorarium

MENTOR ELIGIBILITY:

  • Female identifying
  • Reference letter from Provincial/Territorial/Local Association and/or a Co-Coach/Athlete
  • In good standing with your Provincial/Territorial/Local association
