Dean Holoien

Dean Holoien was a member of the Canadian Men’s National Team program from 1998 to 2009, competing in a pair of Pan American Championships (4th in 1998 and Silver in 2002) and two WBSC World Cups (Silver in 2004 and Bronze in 2009). He played his minor ball with the Melfort 222’s winning a pair of Canadian Championships, followed by an outstanding Senior A playing career from 1992 to 2015 during which time he won a total of four Canadian Championship Gold medals (1999, 2004, 2008 and 2009). He added a pair of Gold medals at the 2018 and 2019 Master Men’s Canadian Championships. Holoien has been involved in coaching at the minor level for 15 years and served as the pitching coach for the Team Saskatchewan Canada Games team in 2013 and as an Assistant Coach of the Canadian Men’s National Team at the 2017 WBSC World Cup. He is currently a Competition – Development Trained coach in the NCCP program.
